So, context, in the old testament, god gave us free will, but satan used that to corrupt man, God got mad at all the heretics, or non believers and killed them via flood, the burning of nenevah, etc, etc. But after jesus came died for our sins (new testament), God promised never to flood the earth or kill ever again. So now we’re here, those people who did that mass murder still go to hell, only forgiveness is through christ.

What if they were christians too but were killed despite stating so, and as their final breath denounce God and Jesus? Would they go to hell for discarding their faith last second?

You’re right, i should have specified that it happens over many months to even years depending on if the person did things like drugs before. And you’re also right about the energy part, satan wears down that energy until, over the course of time you drop more and more of it.
But if they have truly changed then the time it would take to lure them back to Satan would be longer than their lifespan, and you wouldn’t be able to use the same tactics as they have seen them before and thus would be rather immune.

I apologize, hell cant exactly talke away free will as it was made by God. Hell can only corrupt and make it seem like you dont have free will, and while God does allow it, he doesnt enjoy it. He gives you a chance to not be punished beyond the scope of whats justified, and if you dont take it then the lord may give you visions (not everybody, its random) or people, to try and steer you into the right path atleast.
But then the corruption would effectively take it away anyway, as if you are so mentally broken that you don’t think you have free will, then you don’t. Especially if you can’t think or aren’t coherent.
Also I am talking about postmortem, so all things done while alive are not really considered for this point especially as God’s intervention in mortal life is kinda inconsequential when considered to what the afterlife entails.

Depression limits your free will, it doesn’t get rid of it. The same as other mental disorders (such as OCD), but usually people need a lot of support or at least a comfortable space so saying “it’s still easy” is insensitive and comes off as naïve and brazen.
If you are at the point where you know longer think for yourself then you don’t have a free will of your own. And thus unless prompted by outside forces (I assume that God can’t interfere in Hell’s affairs) you will stay that way.
