I don’t see how stating something makes it so. It doesn’t really matter stating something when you display it as something else.

I get saying these are consenting individuals, especially if you do something rather extreme. But when it something you can directly see and then you aren’t just meant to take the author’s word at face value. Like if there is a dog and it’s a husky but the author just says, in the afterword, that it’s german shepard, what are you mean to do?
